During the summer of 2021, I was an intern at Perfect Game USA. Perfect Game is the world's largest baseball scouting service. My role at the company was a social media assistant in the Mid-Atlantic region. Throughout my time with PG, I acquired numerous new skills, met valuable contacts, and had many great experiences.
One of my biggest tasks as a social media intern was to create and post audiogram graphics on Twitter to promote podcasts and radio shows. I was able to sharpen my audio editing skills while learning how to use the audio waveform features on Adobe Premiere Pro.
I was also tasked with updating our monthly analytics using Google Spreadsheets. This allowed my manager to easily analyze the performance of our social media platforms and report to his higher-ups. This gave me a feel for how professional organizations evaluate their social analytics.
With my internship role, I was granted access to Perfect Game's Slate account. Slate allows companies to create on-brand social content with ease using custom backgrounds, colors, and graphics. During my time at PG I learned the ins and outs of the application and how to improve the pictures and videos that we posted on our social platforms.
One of the most enjoyable experiences I had during my internship was using a Canon Rebel T7 camera. I learned how to take pictures and videos on a hi-tech camera, something that I had never done before. The camera enhances the quality of content that we posted and appealed more to our followers. Here are some of my favorite photos that I took.
